You Can't Make Up Stuff Like This

Above is just a taste of the recent output from The Asylum, one of the greatest film studios of our time. The Asylum generally specializes in making quick knockoffs of current blockbusters, but as you can see they have a definite soft spot for films featuring sharks and other denizens of the deep.

I'm both horrified and delighted that I live in a dimension in which it's possible to rent a film called 2-Headed Shark Attack.

I had planned on writing a blog post one of these days that spoofed their outrageous, start-with-the-title-first output. I was going to try to come up with fake posters like Grizzly Shark, Sharkerine and Sharkano, but I quickly realized that The Asylum's real life output was far more ridiculous than anything I could ever hope to come up with.

Case in point:

Behold Sharknado, The Asylum's latest opus. It's a tornado, filled with sharks. Hence the title.

You win, Asylum. I bow to your superior ability to come up with ridiculous titles.
